GBK Cosmetic Laser Dermatology Offers Free Seminar on the Latest Cosmetic Innovations
(San Diego) – More than 55 million cosmetic surgery procedures will be performed in 2015, predicts a recent study in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery®, the official medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). This more than quadruples the number of procedures performed in 2005, the study noted.
Pushing this growth is increasing consumer awareness as well as technological advances in non-surgical options, according to the study.
If you’re considering becoming one of the millions of people seeking cosmetic surgery, it pays to be an informed consumer. Learn about the latest in cosmetic rejuvenation at a free seminar on Thursday, July 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the La Valencia Hotel, 1132 Prospect Street in downtown, La Jolla.
Sponsored by GBK Cosmetic Laser Dermatology, the seminar features live demonstrations of the newly approved eyelash treatment Latisse, the first and only FDA-approved prescription treatment for growing longer, fuller eyelashes; and Sculptra, among the most modern dermal fillers that can plump and correct skin creases, folds, wrinkles, and scars as well as visible fat loss on the face, providing a more youthful look. There will be an open question and answer session with board certified dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons, and plastic surgeons.
Dr. Mitchel P. Goldman, Medical Director of GBK Cosmetic Laser Dermatology, advises anyone considering treatment to do their homework. “It pains me to see advertisements for clinics that care far more about their profits than your health and happiness. They prey upon the desire we all have to be our best. But you only have one face to show the world, and one body to take you through life.
“Please, don’t put yourself at risk. Join us on July 9 so you can learn to ask the right questions about the credentials and training of the individuals you plan to trust with your health,” said Goldman. “I want you to be an informed client and make good, healthy choices that will improve your appearance and your outlook on life.”
Call GBK Cosmetic Laser Dermatology to RSVP at 858-459-7011. Seating is limited.
