San Diego Hospice’s Light up a Life Celebration December 7

(San Diego) - Renowned Conductor Jung-Ho Pak and and award-winning singer Eve Selis join San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine for its 28th annual Light up a Life Celebration, which honors the memory of loved ones for many San Diegans. The event takes place on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 8 p.m. at the San Diego Civic Theatre (1100 Third Avenue, San Diego). Admission is free and open to the public.

Highlights of the evening include a poignant photo montage and the lighting of the Christmas tree and Menorah, in remembrance of those extraordinary people, both past and present, who have touched our hearts. Conductor Jung-Ho Pak and Orchestra Nova will perform holiday favorites throughout the program and Selis will sing her original hit “Where Angels Walk” in memory of her late father. The holiday program will also include remarks from Kathleen Pacurar, President and CEO of San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine, and Richard Woltman, Chairman of Girard Securities, Inc., who will share the story of his San Diego Hospice experience.

Light up a Life also helps to raise funds and awareness for San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine, a non-profit organization caring for more than 1,000 seriously ill adults and children each day throughout the county. A gift of $35 and higher sponsors a light on the tree or menorah, in honor of a loved one. Individuals making tribute gifts of $100 and higher receive a commemorative ornament. Additional sponsorships are also available. To RSVP or for more info, contact the San Diego Hospice Foundation at 619-278-6440 or visit online at www.sdhospice.org/lightupalife.
